Jack Frost

That fall frost came way too quick for me this year. It always seems that I am running around enjoying the sweater weather when bam! the freeze hits overnight. I really put off the draining of the two rain barrels in the yard. I went outside to finally attend to this task just to find no water draining at all in the frozen spigots. Fortunately, the middle was still liquid. After removing the water, the ice crystals in the middle looked like this. Cool little jagged ice knives.
