This weekend was a local plant sale at Chadwick Arboretum on the Ohio State campus. Lots of plants, tools, sculpture and even a plant auction. I was attracted to the native plant stand and found some wild bergamot. The husband saw this Japanese maple, 'Harpstrings' and decided that was following him home. It is now in the front yard and he has taken responsibility for the watering this summer. The cut of the leaves reminds me of a willow. It should have a great golden/orange color in the fall too.
